Shikinohana, translated means beautiful Four Season flowers. The intricate details of this hand carved and hand painted kokeshi by Sato Suigai remind one of the beautiful vibrant colors of Fall with its brown and brick red maple leaves with teal accent on a gold kimono background. Her black hair is styled like a Japanese princess from the Heian period.
