Shikinohana, translated means beautiful Four Season flowers. The intricate details of this hand carved and hand painted kokeshi by Sato Suigai remind one of the beautiful blooms of the Sakura tree in the Spring. Design is Sakura blossoms in two shades of pink with green leaf accent on a blue gray kimono. Her black hair is styled like a Japanese Princess from the Heian period.
