We are getting many e-mails about the availability of the 3-pc and 9-pc Kokeshi Nativity Sets. Thank you for your interest in the sets. The sets are hand crafted and hand painted and are beautiful! Hi Sharon,

First of all, Kudos to you for being instrumental in putting together a Japanese creche. I’ve wanted one ever since I saw a life-sized display at Temple Square in SLC. I had the good fortune of living at Yokota AFB for the past 3 years and volunteered at the YOSC bazaars. My favorite booth, of course, was Naomi’s. She is such a sweetheart!

The reason I’m writing to you is that I am curious about another Mary & Joseph set that Naomi showed me. It is two pieces with baby Jesus painted on in Mary’s arms. The original color was Joseph in green and Mary in a light blue. Naomi told me there would be a new version available with Joseph in a burgundy color and Mary in “Naomi blue”. Are you aware of this version? I had put my name on a list at the bazaar to be notified when they were available but haven’t heard back. It’s been over a year, too. Unfortunately, we had to PCS back to the states right after the Sendai earthquake so I haven’t been able to talk to Naomi. Do you know anything about the set I’m talking about? I’m very interested in procuring one if they are available.

I am interested inordering a Nativity Set. What are the prices of the 9 pc and 3 pc sets? How long before they would be shipped. I collect nativities, have them from lots of European countries, Africa – Ivory Coast and Ghana, Benine-, Mexico, Guatemala, but not from Japan. I love the pictures that weree In LDS Living. Where are you located??
